Make pedestrianised only, apart from loading/unloading at certain times, to make safer for pedestrians.

Make one way from Wantz Road to Market Hill to ease congestion, cycle route and give space to improve pavement width.

Make Market Hill one way, towards Heybridge only. This will improve the flow and environment air issues.

Needs 'Keep Clear' road marking so that school access road is not blocked

Speed restrictions needed (20mph?) — cycling feels very dangerous at this point on Cycle Route 1 due to cars speeding.

Encourage traffic to flow into Park Drive to access the by-pass. Too much traffic in Mill Road endangers school children using the school entrances.

Market Hill and High Street south are used as a rat run. High Street needs to be one way only (North to South aka top to botton) and should be 20 mph limit with pull over space for lorries unloading/delivering. All town parking should be … [more]

Maldon High Street has died during the current Virus restrictions and you would be luck to see people in the high street, which has brought many businesses to their knees and making pavements wider would have no effect but to make it harder … [more]

This road is too far for pedestrians crossing in to the cemetery and for cars pulling out of the cemetery

Speed camera required here, cars driving far too fast accelerating away from roundabout

The pavement is narrow so social distancing is extremely difficult . During initial lockdown when there was little traffic it was possible to step into the road. This is no longer possible . The road is also narrow and due to the bends, … [more]

30mph speed limit near roundabout & garden centre and crossing points for walkers needed

30mph speed limit near roundabout & garden centre and crossing points for walkers needed

Make the high street 1 way, west to east. Traffic coming from the police station all turns left down Market Hill. Traffic coming up Market Hill all turns left down the High Street. Removes queueing (& pollution) from Market Hill. Allows … [more]

Something like a narrower one-way system will need to be done along Highlands Drive to facilitate safely distanced school runs for both All Saints' and St Francis.

No traffic zone from top Market Hill to Police Station to improve shopping experience and reduce pollution.

To encourage more people to shop and feel safe, the top of the High Street should be pedestrianised permanently.

Not enough space to social distance- need to walk in the road.

This end of the high street could be pedestrianised, creating more space for eateries to have outdoor areas and for people to move around with space between them. This allows businesses to create more income generating space and in turn … [more]

Narrow the road or put speed bumps in villages as car come through at silly speeds

Permanent closure of the top of the high street is long overdue. Pedestrianising this area will allow more room for social distancing and allow businesses to offer outside spaces. More of an outdoor cafe culture can only make maldon more … [more]

By using a pandemic to force in a one way system in Maldon that was never approved is short sighted and will lead to a race track effect round Maldon.

Narrow paths, people stoping and looking in estate agent windows cars driving both ways. Even if one way pedestrian walk it would still be too dangerous and cant maintain social distancing

This has the highest footfall and there is no room for social distancing

There is only enough room for one lane of traffic, as cars mount the pavement.

The space should be for pedestrians and cyclists

Very narrow road. Cars already use pavement. Cannot safely social distance. I need to use this route to get food shopping
